Jim is a designer, programmer, experienced business owner, and a strong resource as an out-sourced IT department.
For over 20 years, Jim’s experience has come from solving online and technical problems for businesses including a rich track record of creating corporate websites, online commerce solutions, and custom applications that are built on real business goals and smart marketing savvy.
Jim founded PromoLab Web Development in 1997 and has since helped bring to life hundreds of websites and online programs; from giants such as Verizon Wireless, Food Services of America, and Microsoft to a myriad of startup ventures and small to midsize companies. In the wine industry, Jim has built online programs for retail wine shops, grape brokers, breweries, and for over 15 years has been responsible for the online sales for Quilceda Creek, one of the highest rated, most respected wineries in the world.
With almost 30 years of marketing, business development, and management experience, Jim’s strengths lie in incorporating sound business rules and marketing strategies into the implementation of online solutions that are clean, professional, and effective. With his diverse background in marketing, graphics, programming, and management, he understands the components a business needs to be successful with its online solutions.
His capabilities include all of the pieces that go into handling a company’s online efforts; whether that is private membership sales, business to consumer sales, or business to business sales as well as building international commerce sites handling overseas sales into China and Great Britain, with many more countries in the works.
His skills include designing the website and marketing collateral, handling the implementation of the site on many platforms including WordPress, Shopify, or PromoLab’s own commerce platform SolutionCart. He handles large-scale email campaigns, SEO optimization and print advertising.
